Players 1st offers software for golf clubs to retain and recruit golfers and increase the club’s revenue by focusing on customer experience and loyalty.
Insights are generated through surveys and the results are displayed in a real-time dashboard.
This lets you explore feedback from members and guests on a daily basis. The system is extremely intuitive and easy to operate. It provides hands-on tools and call-to-action lists for the golf club.

How clubs can access the offer for the Member Experience survey
In the first three years of the Membership: Give it a Shot campaign, nearly 300 clubs accessed the Players 1st support, receiving over 100k survey responses and yielding an impressive 56% response rate to the Member experience survey. From May 2024 any England Golf affiliated club can access the survey subscriptions at the following subsidised rates:
- New Member experience survey FREE
- Former Member experience survey FREE
- Member Experience survey
- Free 12-month subscription available for clubs that have not previously utilised the Membership: Give it a Shot campaign support.
- £275 (excl. VAT) subsidised renewal rate for a 12-month subscription for clubs that have previously utilised the previous Membership: Give it a Shot campaign support (cost is excl. VAT and is a saving of £220 on the standard renewal rate for the subscription)
The focus areas of each survey template is outlined below:
- New Member Experience survey – targeting new members who have recently joined the club. Collates the primary reasons for taking up golf, why they chose to become a member at the club, questions about their integration experience of the club, plus open comments questions.
- Former Member Experience survey – targeting former members who have recently left their membership. Captures the primary reason(s) for leaving the club, general satisfaction questions, plus player demographic questions.
- Member Experience survey – a comprehensive survey designed to collate member feedback across the golf course, food & beverage, facilities, management, pro shop, lessons, atmosphere, club in general and club house. Includes recommendation and loyalty questions and player demographic and golfing background questions.
