Paradise Island Adventure Golf (PIAG) has become the latest golf facility to sign up to England Golf’s terms of affiliation, which will see the organisation benefit from; access to resources, programmes and initiatives, access to exclusive offers and services, promotion through the Find and Play function, legal and governance support, as well as a dedicated Facility Officer.
The affiliation will also see ALL England Golf members (members of Golf Clubs or iGolf subscribers) able to access an exclusive 20 per cent discount off their total transaction at Paradise Island venues in the UK. Book your spot by clicking here and entering the code ENGGOLF24 at checkout.
PIAG has eight sites in the UK, with six of those in England, and each venue offers two 18-hole indoor adventure golf courses at over 13,000 square feet in size – an area that can hold up to 300 players at one time.
As well as the mix of twists, turns, humps and bumps on the exciting courses, the unique and detailed theming plays a vital role in the customer journey.
Craig Nichol, Marketing Manager at Paradise Island Adventure Golf, explained: “After hearing about England Golf’s new affiliation pathway to support facilities such as driving ranges, adventure golf facilities and pitch-and-putt courses, I reached out.
“There is a natural synergy for Paradise Island to link up with England Golf. We’re very excited to be affiliated and the many opportunities it brings, such as access to unique resources like iPlay, iGolf, Getting into Golf, website communications, email marketing, as well as participation events and support to link with local golf club members.
“All of this is crucial in allowing us to reach out to more people and encourage more people to get into golf.”
Paradise Island had 790,000 people enjoying its adventure golf courses across the UK in 2023, including 610,000 at its England venues. Its leading facility at Trafford Centre, Manchester, has welcomed over 170,000 players in the past 12 months.
Each of the venues are now listed on the MyEG app where customers can enter their adventure golf scores for free through the new iPlay function.
And Craig added: “Adventure golf offers a great day out for many different demographics, but our main audience includes families with toddlers (under 5), families with kids (5-16yrs), friends, students, couples and groups.
“Having a wide customer demographic, we have many children who play adventure golf across our sites. For most of them, it will have been the first time they’ve held a golf club (putter) and had a go at some form of golf.
“Having ‘fun’ is a key phrase used when most of our customers describe their experience at Paradise Island. Some have ‘fun’ simply by playing with family and friends, hitting good or bad shots, but there are large numbers who have ‘fun' by completing a scorecard to determine the winner between siblings, family or friends!
“Using iPlay through the MyEG app will be a fantastic tool to enable visitors to record their scores digitally at each visit, to try and better it, or to visit other Paradise Island venues.”
Craig, who has been a keen amateur golfer for the last 25 years, representing his county as a junior and playing at university level, added: “Having more multi-venue operators becoming affiliated with England Golf will allow more courses to be on the app, and therefore allowing more choice and opportunities for people to play and get into the game and challenge themselves.
“Whether you’re a youngster who loves your crazy golf, or just a competitive person in general, being able to download the MyEG app for free and access iPlay, to put in scores from each of the adventure golf facilities, is a great tool in kicking off that journey.”
